Lead User Experience Researcher/Strategist 8/2011 – 4/2015

Consulted Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies on their UX strategy for existing and upcoming products and overall direction. Lead efforts to take products from concept to market. Designed and lead qualitative and quantitative research including persona development, user experience, usability assessments, navigation/IA design, ideation sessions, and market exploration for Mobile sites and applications, desktop focused websites, as well as physical products. I created prototypes and wireframes for testing when necessary. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Atlanta, GA
IT Specialist – Innovation Team 7/2008 – 5/2010

Part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving innovation CDC-wide. Lead UX researcher, UX designer and developer for CDC’s IdeaLab, an idea capture, collaboration and crowd sourcing web-application, which was accepted in the White House’s Open Government Innovations Gallery; automated the nomination, approval, and judgment processes for CDC Director’s Innovation Awards; created a digital showcase to display winners and allow for user interactivity; on the administrative lead team for designing CDC’s SharePoint My Site implementation. Served as a point of contact and representative of CDC and CDC’s Innovation Team to internal organizations, HHS, and other government and non-government agencies.

Designed and developed a mobile site specifically for iPhone for use with the inSpace project. Visualized custom presentations from a remote server allowing the remote user to equally participate in meetings using the high-tech networked meeting space being researched. Users have the ability to see the activities taking place in live meetings as well as the archived ones and can even lead the meeting and control the presentation from the site.

Provided technical support to an office of around 30 Windows (2000 and XP) workstations and users of widely varied skill sets. Included Proactive maintenance & training.
